The Importance of Yoga during these Global changing times

During these global changing times when our bodies are prone to misalignment and pain, it may be easy for us to forget that there are also amazing benefits of yoga. Yoga is an ancient practice that has been proven by science to decrease stress and pain in the body. Additionally, there are countless other health benefits to practicing yoga including weight loss, increased strength, flexibility, improved concentration and much more! 

Practicing yoga every day is just one small step we can take to keep ourselves strong and healthy. It may seem difficult to find the time or energy to practice yoga every day, yet if you just keep it as a             priority then it can be very easy! 

First things first - YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST! 

You cannot help anyone else unless you are at your optimal level of wellness. Of course this includes eating right, exercising (which also helps with stress management) and sleeping well. In addition to those common sense points, yoga is a great way for us to care for ourselves during these times of great change. Yoga has been scientifically proven as a method of reducing stress and pain in our bodies so it's a small step we can take to make the road a little less bumpy.

Yoga also helps with sleeping so if you haven't been able to sleep well then maybe try lighting some candles, playing soft music and practicing your favourite yoga pose or a beautiful meditation practice prior to sleep . You may notice that time will fly by and before you know it you will be fast asleep!
